WHITE LAKE ADK

We make a difference

White Lake ADK Association (WLADK) takes our stewardship seriously – we are committed to the environment and carefully monitor natural developments and commercial activities in order to protect these environs for generations to come.

OUR STORY

White Lake Adirondack Association Inc. (WLADK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving, protecting, and preserving the natural environment, fish, and wildlife habitat of the Adirondack Park of New York State, focusing in and around White Lake in Oneida County, its watershed, and the surrounding communities.

White Lake is one of only a handful of lakes in the Adirondack Park that is crystal clear, spring-fed, and invasive species-free. It is surrounded by a recreational community and federally designated wetlands abundant with fish and wildlife. We wake up to loons calling, and a wide range of water fowl raise their young each year on our lakes. We hear owls hooting at night, and see hawks and eagles soaring above during the day. Many of our residents have resided here for generations. They are joined annually by tourists eager to enjoy the peaceful, serene environment.

WLADK takes our stewardship seriously – we are committed to the environment and carefully monitor natural developments and commercial activities in order to protect these environs for generations to come.

Your tax deductible contributions help us accomplish this mission by allowing us to provide stewards to monitor boats entering the lake(s); assure water quality, with annual testing for invasive species and bacteria; perform fish stocking annually; provide boating education; and when necessary, use legal means to respond to man made threats in and around our lakeside environment. Donations can be earmarked to support specific projects or can provide general support for the accomplishment of our overall mission.
